MELTA-USM ELT in South East Asia Series

The MELTA-USM ELT in South East Asia Series is published in collaboration with Universiti Sains Malaysia Press and is based on themes related to ELT. Various themes are explored through the series as contributors report on their research findings, and contribute new ideas to the field of English language education. The series also promotes cross-border collaboration between academics in the area of ELT in the Southeast Asian region. Editors of books in this series come from at least two countries in the Southeast Asian region. Similarly, chapter contributors are also invited from the region.

If you are interested to lead a publication in this series, submit a proposal to MELTA’s Director of Publications at meltaconference@gmail.com

The proposal should include:

  1. The title of the publication.
  2. A brief write up (not exceeding 500 words) where you state the purpose or rationale of your book, and why you think your proposal is suited for this series.
  3. The names and affiliation of at least two editors from two countries in the Southeast Asian region including Malaysia.
  4. The titles and abstracts for at least 8 chapters which are to be included in the book. Include the names and affiliation of the authors.

TEACHERS’ VOICES: STORIES FROM THE CLASSROOM

Teachers’ Voices: Stories from the classroom is a new addition to MELTA’s book publication initiative.

Volume 1 of this e-book series was publishing in June 2021. Books in this series are made up of contributions by classroom practitioners who share their experiences of teaching English.

MELTA-SASBADI ELT SERIES

The MELTA-Sasbadi ELT series was a highly successful ELT series published with the support of Sasbadi. The books published in this series covered a range of themes related to ELT. Contributors shared their research findings as well as practical classroom experiences on topics such as materials adaptation and teaching literature. English language educators, ELT curriculum planners, textbook writers and researchers in Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian region contributed chapters which made up the entire series.
