CONTRIBUTORS

Dr. Ainol Madziah Zubairi is an assistant professor at the Centre for Languages and Pre-University Academic Development, International Islamic University, Malaysia. Her main interests are language testing, psychometrics, and ESL.

Ms Noor Lide Abu Kassim is a member of staff of the Centre for Language and PreUniversity Academic Development, International Islamic University Malaysia. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychometrics at the University of Science, Pulau Pinang.

Abdul Rashid Mohamed is the Dean of the School of Educational Studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Junie Chew is a postgraduate student at the School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Muhammad Kamarul Kabilan trains English language teachers at the School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Joanne Rajadurai teaches at University Technology Mara, Malaysia. Her research interests lie in the area of sociolinguistics, and include issues of intelligibility and identity in spoken English. She investigated phonological variation in Malaysian English as part of her doctoral thesis at the University of Nottingham.

Dr. Rubina Khan is an Associate Professor in the Department of English, University of Dhaka. She has an MA in TESOL from the University of Northern Iowa and a PhD in ELT from the University of Warwick. Her areas of interest are testing, evaluation and teacher education. She is the General Secretary of the Bangladesh English Language Teachers Association (BELTA).

Ganakumaran Subramaniam has a Bachelor of Education in TESL from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Master of Arts and Ph.D. from the University of Nottingham, UK. Currently he serves as a Senior Lecturer at the School of Language Studies and Linguistics, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He is the recipient of the Fulbright Award in the year 2002. He is Vice-President of the Malaysian English Language Teaching Association.
