Re: STPM Literature in English Discussion Forum
Titles of Keats' poems as requested:

Ode to Psyche
Ode on Indolence
Ode on Melancholy
Ode to a Nightingale
Ode on a Grecian Urn
To Autumn

No idea as to Hardy but these are the above are the popular ones of Keats ... main preoccupation lies normally with contrasting the bright and vivid world of nature with the darkness of the human world and a constant desire for escape into the woodlands. Ode to a Nightingale encapsulates thisrather brilliantly .

A rather definitive edition is the Henneimann one which has both his letters and his poems and some informative notes at the end. the letters often contain Keats' poetical philosophy.

Hope this brief info helps a tad bit ...

Re: Hardy poems & Keats too...
The selection of Hardy poetry can be found on
Selected Shorter Poems of Thomas Hardy: Chosen and Edited by JOHN WAIN, Macmillan London Ltd., 1966.

However I heard it's out of print...one question, why does the MPM want us to refer to a book that's already out of print and obselete?!!! But a friend of mine manage to find it at a library though...

I have both the Hardy and Keats book and would gladly post you a copy for a small fee...
You can e-mail to band_aids17@yahoo.com

For those that are taking the STPM Lit paper, I recommend you do Hardy instead of Keats...

Cheers...

RE: Hardy's Poems

For those who can, I'd suggest a well worthy trip to University Malaya's bookshop (PekanBuku) as it has in stock at least 7 copies of the following edition of Hardy's poems:

Thomas Hardy. Selected Poems. Ed. and Intr. David Wright. Penguin Poetry Library.

It has a good intro and some other useful information as well as brief explanatory notes at the end.
Head for the "Kesusasteraan" shelves, sub-section 'klasik' ... look for the Penguin books ... there are loads of them ... Hardy (in maroon) is pinned somewhere in the middle.

Good luck

As to actual poems selected for the syllabus ... shall try to find out ...

Re: Hardy poems & Keats too...
hi, it has been some time since we stop discussing the literary works in the STPM literature syllabus. Shall we start with some of the poems, let's say the poems by KEats?
