Using multimedia software tools has enhance the teaching and learning in IHL in many ways. Multimedia software tools includes text, animation, audio and also video! It enables us to present or come up with interesting stuffs. Apart from utilizing the elements of education mainly in certain areas, it broadens or cloud students' imagination about what is being said. It also creates a strong base in getting the gist of the particular topic. Now if were asked how these helps teaching and learning in IHL, I would say a bunch of it. Lecturers can explain or teach the students using them. Say for example, lecturers are to show how a car progress, they cannot just explain orally without having a strong idea how it really works. We cannot expect the students to just get what he/she meant by her explanation unless they have a video. Incorporating multimedia software in IHL serves several benefits like what I have said earlier. Teaching becomes more progressive and learning becomes fun. As for me, I have used the multimedia software tools in language and ICT. Designing the blog requires me to use the multimedia software such Microsoft (word and power point). Text can be produced in the Microsoft word and the others by using the power point. The production of certain animation and videos used enables my course mates to understand better what I have written on the topic. To make it more interesting I inserted a song clip and images too! Hereby, I can say that multimedia software tools helps to make teaching and learning very interesting and fun.

Hi... I think that multimedia software tools has really help in teaching and learning as students manipulate them in enhance their teaching and learning.. Based on my experience, when i was in form four and form five, my teacher teaching biology by using multimedia presentation that was so catchy and fun. He showed the students about the life of amoeba which is a tiny,one-celled organism. With such interactive presentation, it really help the me and the other students to understand better in learning. Multimedia as we know not only using colorful presentation, but also include sound, picture, animation and many more which it can develop students understanding in a particular subject.. in the other hand, teaching and learning will be more fun and interactive. Beside of that, both students and teacher can enjoy it....

As a student of language, i have realized the importance of using multimedia software in learning and teaching as it is a very handy tool. This is especially true for one of the subjects which i took last semester which was ICT for Social Science. In this course, i was required to create a website according to a topic chosen. At the beginning, i had a little bit of difficulty in completing task because i have never created a websitye before. but soon, i manged to come up with my own site using Microsoft Publisher and can be viewed offline. Although this is not a language subject whereby importance is given to the use of proper English, this task made me aware of the way a language, in this case, English, should be used for the view of people from all ages. Whatsmore, since internet has become a part of life for everyone especially students, websites are a great tool in promoting as well as teaching students English, because i believe that just like me, they will learn the proper English in the long term through multimedia. This is mainly because instead of books, students can now learn english in the fun way and not just by staring at books which in my opinion, does not work that well among youngsters and learners, basically.

talking about multimedia software tools in teching and learning are wide and general for me..
i'hv done and throughout this many times in my life as a student..

i dunno about others opinions, but mine experience in this really opend my eyes.. since i was a kid i never heard what is multimedia and even i was i primary school this term for my still too alien..

but, as i further my studies, i now have become aware with this term and how it functions widely.. as far im being a student. IT cnt be apartd with my studies.. it gets along with my subjects and i now get used to it..

i still remember, when i was in ist sem, i was been introduced to science for ICT as one of my subjects.. there i learned many things about IT as well, the terms of IT, functional of IT towards people and so forth...

after that, i was in shock when i was been introduced to Lang in ICt.. i was required to do blogging as part of my assesments as well.. i posted all my asignments into my blog so my lec. and others readers can read.. i used how lang. cn be related in ICt nowdays and i know that was part of learning..

furthermore, now, im doing Eng lang Analysis (ELA). through this subject, i;hv seen lectures used many multimedia tools as a medium in teaching.. in the lec hall, they opend a wibesite showing teaching contents in order to enchance our understanding.. the used of internet, flash player to show videos, pictures really good as multimedia software in teacjing and learning..

im also developing a software for students in technology and inovation in TESl. this subject requires me to do a program for teching and im working on it.. i been introduced what is Hot PAtato to develop a sofware.. so this is part of learning and teaching too..

In my point of view, using multimedia software tools such as Microsoft word, Microsoft power point, animation tools, video tools, sound editing tools and so on really helps to enhance the teaching and learning in IHL because it's give us a lot of benefits and advantages in using and understanding the teaching and learning process and it would more interesting and interactive. For example, last semester I’ve learned Language and Information Technology subject. This subject requires us to create our own blog with incorporating all the software tools. I have learned a lot how to incorporate songs, video clips, animation pictures, and pictures of me and my activities and at last but not least the text regarding the assignment given to us. This particular course has helped me a lot to learn new things especially in multimedia application. Other than that, in this semester I’m learning English Language Analysis subject. This subject requires us to study Phonetics and Phonology. So, in order to learn better how to pronounce the words, our lecture have introduced one particular website which help us to understand better when we hear the correct pronunciation and the IPA (international phonetics alphabets). So, I think that multimedia tools influenced a lot to the teaching and learning processes.

I do agree with you that multimedia software is very useful.As an English teacher i and all of the english teachers in my school had to prepare a lesson during Buddy Support system. We had to teach the maths and science teacher using powerpoint. Thank you very much to all the ukm lecturer for teaching and giving chances for me using the multimedia software when i was a student before.Now the knowledge that i learnt benefits me a lot.I hope that you grab the opportunity that you got in ukm.till now n best of luck to you.

As the minor of my course is Science Computer, I am frequently exposed to the use of computer software, for example Flash, Photoshop, Sound Forge, etc.
I strongly agree that the application of the knowledge and skills learned can grabe students' attention in the classrooms. For example, we can create simple flash to teach literature and grammar. I found it useful during my teaching practices. Students loved my presentation and I was able to increase their participation in the classroom.
