MELTA, as a non profit organisation, has always been known as an organisation that promotes English language teaching in Malaysia. This year MELTA has decided to add a new dimension to its conference. The MELTA ‘MELT-A-HEART’ project hopes to extend MELTA altruistic services to benefit more people besides language teachers and students.
Who and how can you participate?
MELTA’s ‘MELT-A-HEART’ project is for everyone. Full conference participants, day participants, exhibitors and guests are welcome to contribute an item or two of educational value (e.g. books, educational toys, board games etc.) at the conference. Items must be new and not pre-owned. These items would be given away to selected disadvantaged and needy charitable homes and/or schools at a special event during the conference.
Participants can drop off their item/s when they register for the conference. Each participant who participates in this project will be given a ‘MELT-A-HEART’ insignia that displays that you have a golden heart.
Corporate Social Responsibility.
Companies and corporations are most welcome to participate in this venture to fulfil their corporate social responsibility commitment. Besides having the opportunity to be a part of the global business community that participates in community services, you will also increase and strengthen your relationship with your various stakeholders, such as investors, customers, vendors, suppliers, employees, communities and governments.
Companies contributing more than RM10, 000 will get special mention during the conference.
